Practice may not make perfect, but steady practice definitely helps.
The Art of Cursive coloring book provides extensive practice in the CursiveLogic handwriting method. After going through the four lessons of CursiveLogic, students can advance to The Art of Cursive. In this unique coloring book, students review the lettering lessons learned in CursiveLogic, then begin coloring beautiful pictures that are filled with cursive letter strings and words.
Each picture is paired with an inspirational or thought-provoking quote, and and when colored with care, can turn out quite beautifully. I will be writing a blog post later this month on getting the most out of The Art of Cursive, but for now, the main thing you need in addition to the book is a set of Prismacolor colored pencils (will open in a new tab). These color much more vividly than other colored pencils, making a line wide enough that the cursive letters within the drawing are filled in one pass, encouraging students to write smoothly and neatly.
Coloring is fun and relaxing, and this kind of coloring helps students practice cursive letters, connections, slant, spacing, and more. Suitable for any age with good motor skills.
